Joel is a current second year student at Durham University, studying Mathematics. His course covers a large range of pure and applied mathematical topics, including calculus, statistics and programming.

Joel has always had a profound interest for the sciences, especially mathematics. He achieved A*s in A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics; and an A in A-Level Chemistry. Previously, he attained 9s in Mathematics and the three sciences at GCSEs. He has personal experience with all levels of maths, and has acquired effective techniques in studying, exam preparation and exams themselves

In his free time, Joel studies French and German, and enjoys reading. He is a strong believer in the importance of interdisciplinary skills, and puts skills learnt outside of studies into practice when tutoring.

Joel mainly teaches A-Level Further Maths and Physics.
