Jenna E

Jenna is currently studying her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature. At A Level, she studied English Language, English Literature and Psychology and achieved an A* in all three. Whilst in sixth form, Jenna also conducted research into the impacts of early reading for children, for which she also received an A*

Her focus within English is promoting enjoyment and appreciation of language and literature, both on and off the syllabus. Her personal interest within English is exploring gender identity when approaching and analysing texts.

She has received awards from her college in both English Language and English Literature and has attended online Teacher Training Masterclasses with Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training

Jenna likes to read a variety of book genres to enrich her subject knowledge. She expertly applied this knowledge when delivering presentations at her college’s Literature Society on anything from the Booker Prize Winner to the importance of children’s and young adult fiction

Jenna has been tutoring at SMSO for a year and can tutor students from Key Stages 1 to 5 in English in an engaging and relatable way. She can also assist with A Level Psychology skills, and tutor English, Verbal Reasoning and Creative Writing for the 11+ entrance examinations.
