Júlia is an undergraduate student in Mathematics and French at the University of Sheffield. She achieved eight GCSEs grades 9-7, and five A-Levels with A* in Mathematics and Portuguese and B in Further Maths, French and History.

Her interest in pure maths was sparkled when winning the second prize in the 2019 Mathematical Olympiad in her home country, which granted her advanced maths classes. She also took part in a problem-solving course with the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP) in 2022-3, which focussed on complex challenges and collaborative work.

Júlia loves the logic and reasoning of mathematics and enjoys exploring different techniques and approaches. She has a passion for sharing both her enthusiasm and understanding of the subject. She hopes to encourage students to grow in confidence and to develop a deeper appreciation of mathematics.
