Miles R

Miles is a second year undergraduate studying English Language and Linguistics at Lancaster University. He achieved an A in A-Level English Language and Business, and a B in A-Level English Literature.

As student representative for his course, Miles has been extensively involved in structuring and delivering the curriculum, working closely with department heads. He has also successfully reformed and now serves as vice-president of the Linguistics & English Language society, where he introduces non-linguists to English Language concepts and creates interactive activities centred around different elements of the discipline. Miles has gained practical experience through transcription training with the LANA CASE corpus project, where he demonstrated exceptional efficiency and attention to detail, proving to be the fastest and most accurate within the initial training cohort.

  • English Language & Literature: A-Level.
